It took me four years to gather the information for the original version and I projected four years down the road and realized that more information would become available, more examples could be provided to clarify certain issues and BCI members would make me aware of tangential topics of interest. I also write weekly newsletter articles for the BCI site as well as for other US and international financial venues. It didn’t take a stroke of genius to craft a plan that would allow me to provide new and enhanced information and keep it within the framework of the Complete Encyclopedia for Covered Call Writing, a format you have embraced more than I could ever have imagined.
Here was my plan of action: Each time I wrote an article on a particular topic, I placed that material in the appropriate corresponding chapter of the original publication. So, if an article was related to technical analysis, it was placed in Chapter 4- Technical Analysis. If it was related to calculations, it was entered into Chapter 6- Calculations and so on. The result has been ninety-six articles with one hundred fifty-seven color charts and graphs. As I type this introduction, I already have several more articles published that will be placed into Volume 3, a publication for some future date.
This book should be treated as an adjunct to the original. After reading and mastering each chapter in the original Complete Encyclopedia (guess it wasn’t “complete” after all!) the reader can then read the corresponding chapter in Volume 2. Why not know more than everybody else? Why should the learning process ever end?
This has been, and continues to be, an enlightening situation for me as well. When you suggest a topic to me, it’s time to go to work and research the subject. Sure I know much of what is asked, but not everything. So I am focused in on learning just as you are.

This is a great read. But it is not really a volume ...

This is a great read. But it is not really a volume 2. It is a compilations of articles written by the Author after the volume 1. It tends to get very repetitive as many articles repeat the exact same things. The charts are also almost impossible to read in the computer (no zoom) or the Kindle (very low quality). All in all, it is a great and informative read, but it would be better if it was actually a book and not a recompilation of articles without any editing.

How to Develop A Second Income Stream

I have found Alan Ellman's Complete Encyclopedia for Covered Call Writing, Vol 2. to be quite helpful. I knew very little about options before reading it. This book lays out strategies to use covered calls and cash covered puts, as well as many more, to make money in the stock market in a way that addresses risk in a way to help protect your capital. I particularly like the frequent approach to exit strategies. These are things I was unaware of before. The book also has given me an overall education about options and, therefore, raised my confidence level. One of the interesting chapters talks about how to structure your options activity into the tight schedule of someone who still has a day job - so you can have a second income stream. I am grateful to Mr. Ellman for sharing his knowledge and highly recommend this book.

Buy Alan's first book if you're a novice

This is probably the best reader friendly book I've ever read. If you are a novice to stock options, you should really start with his first book.
Alan also has a website that is very user friendly and will help the novice out. I don't own Alan's first book, but I intend to purchase it. I'm a book man, and I'm just using the website for now.
He also has a premium website. But being on disability, it's out of my reach.
